How can I make an appointment?

Please call our office at 940-368-8143, so we can get your appointment scheduled sooner rather than later.

Do you offer consultations?

We recommend you schedule an appointment, so our professionals can complete a comprehensive evaluation and decide whether or not this is a necessity for your child. The therapist will ask questions about your child’s development, address any concerns you may have, and provide recommendations for your child based on the findings.

I received a referral for your services and am unsure if my child needs therapy services or an evaluation. What are the next steps?

Yes. Parents are a very important part of treatment at Rodriguez Speech and Myofunctional Therapy. Parents are often invited into the treatment rooms to observe therapy if the situation is appropriate, and parent education is an integral part of every therapy session. Each session is designed to allow time for the parent and therapist to discuss progress, as well as what was done during the therapy session. Home programs are provided to the parent to increase carryover in all settings and help the child be more successful in reaching their goals.

Do you involve parents in the treatment process?

If you’re unable to make it to therapy in person, phone or video sessions are available on a case-by-case basis.

Do you offer video or phone sessions?

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet face-to-face. At this time, your therapist will provide a comprehensive assessment, which will take into account your personal history, present-day concerns, and what you might be hoping for in the therapeutic process. If you have specific goals for therapy and/or beyond, you can talk about those, too. Together, you’ll address any concerns or questions you have regarding therapy, and identify a plan to move forward with. If you both agree to continue working together, therapy will begin during the following session. If for any reason you and/or your therapist don't believe that working together is the best fit for you, we’ll provide you with specific referrals based on the comprehensive assessment provided.
